Brand Kit
Define your brand's identity so Citatra's AI features always produce on-brand output.
Overview
The Brand Kit is a central store for your brand's identity assets and content guidelines. When configured, it is automatically applied to AI-powered features — primarily the Content Generator — so that generated articles, FAQs, and other content consistently reflects your brand voice, uses the correct terminology, and avoids misrepresenting your product.
Access Brand Kit from Settings → Brand Kit in the left sidebar.
Brand Profile
The Brand Profile section stores the fundamental facts about your brand:
- Brand name — your company or product name, including any preferred capitalisation (e.g., Citatra, not citatra or CITATRA)
- Domain — your primary website domain
- Industry / niche — used to contextualise AI generation tasks
- Short description — a 1–2 sentence summary of what your brand does (used as context in generation prompts)
- Key products / services — a list of your main offerings with brief descriptions
Tone of Voice
Define how your brand communicates. Select from preset tones or describe a custom tone:
- Professional — authoritative, factual, neutral
- Conversational — friendly, approachable, first-person
- Technical — precise, detailed, expert-level
- Custom — describe your brand's tone in your own words (e.g., "Helpful and direct, like a knowledgeable colleague. Avoid jargon. Use contractions.")
You can also list words to avoid — terms, competitor names, or phrases that should never appear in generated content.
Brand Colours
Add your brand's primary and secondary colours (hex codes). Colours are not used in content generation but are displayed in the Citatra UI for workspace personalisation and in export templates.
Competitor Awareness
List competitor names and domains that you want the AI to be aware of. This influences the Content Generator to avoid inadvertently recommending or praising competitor products in generated articles.
Applying the Brand Kit
Once saved, the Brand Kit is automatically applied to:
- Content Generator — all new articles use your tone of voice, brand name, key products, and word exclusions
- FAQ Generator (Tools Hub) — generated FAQs reflect your brand description and terminology
- Structured Templates (Tools Hub) — template outlines use your brand context
