Dashboard
Your central hub for AI visibility monitoring — six tabs covering every angle of your brand's presence in AI-generated answers.
Overview
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after selecting a workspace. It is organised into six tabs, each focusing on a different dimension of your AI visibility. A global engine filter in the top bar lets you narrow all data to a specific AI engine (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude, or Gemini), or view aggregated results across all engines at once.
Tabs
Visibility
The Visibility tab is your at-a-glance performance summary. It contains two primary widgets:
Competitive Overview Chart — a time-series chart plotting your appearance rate (and up to five competitors) over the selected date range. Hover any data point to see exact values. Use the engine filter to compare performance on a specific AI platform.
Competitive Overview Table — a ranked table showing each tracked domain, their citation count, average position, appearance rate, and week-over-week change. Your domain is always highlighted for easy reference.
Below the main widgets, two additional panels show Source Domains (the most-cited domains across all your prompts) and Source Type Distribution (a breakdown of citations by content type — article, product page, forum, etc.).
Prompts
The Prompts tab embeds the full Prompts management interface directly in the dashboard. You can add, organise, and monitor all your tracked prompts without leaving the main view. See the Prompts guide for full documentation on this tab.
Competitors
The Competitors tab lets you manage which domains you benchmark against and view their visibility metrics side-by-side with yours. Add a competitor by entering their domain (without https://). Once added, Citatra tracks their citation count, average position, and appearance rate across all your monitored prompts.
Query Fanouts
The Query Fanout tool expands a single seed prompt into a set of semantically related query variants. Type a prompt into the input field, choose the Max Queries count (5 to 15), select which platforms to target, and click Generate. Citatra uses AI to produce a diverse set of related queries — useful for discovering adjacent topics and ensuring broad coverage of your visibility landscape.
Results appear as a list of generated queries with estimated relevance scores. You can import any generated query directly into your tracked Prompts list with one click.
SoV & Sentiment
The Share of Voice & Sentiment tab breaks down your visibility relative to competitors:
- Share of Voice — what percentage of all citation slots across your monitored prompts belong to your domain vs. each competitor
- Sentiment breakdown — for each domain, how many citations were framed positively, neutrally, or negatively by the AI engine
- Trend chart — SoV over time so you can track whether your share is growing or shrinking
Sources
The Sources tab shows the universe of domains being cited across your monitored prompts — not just yours and your competitors, but every source that appears. This is useful for identifying authoritative sites in your niche, discovering PR and outreach targets, and understanding which content types AI engines favour for your tracked topics.
